Fogo de Chao is an upscale restaurant in downtown San Diego with great Brazilian food.

When I went to the restaurant, I was excited to try the all you can eat steak.

I first started off with the salad bar which I got a Caesar salad and some fruit, for the price it’s not anything special just a typical salad bar.

Once you sit down in the restaurant you have a coaster, which you can flip to either green or red. Green meaning you want more steak, red, meaning to stop. The waiters will come around asking if would like a piece of the meat they have.

“Would you like some of –?,” is what you’ll here throughout the dining experience.

I left my coaster on green for a while and I tried many different types of steaks. Some of the steaks I tried were filet mignon, ribeye, picanha and even bacon-wrapped steak, the filet mignon was my favorite!

They do also bring you unlimited side dishes, including mashed potatoes, plantains and more.

I think going to this restaurant you should be very hungry! You want to be able to try all the different foods they offer you.

The food is literally nonstop, so if you want to keep eating you’ll be exciting when someone every few minutes is offering you something new! For dessert, I had the cheesecake. It was very good but nothing amazing or different!

Overall, I had a very good experience at Fogo de Chao. If you’re a huge steak lover than this will be heaven for you! I wouldn’t recommend going if you don’t want to eat a lot because you will end up not trying the different foods.

I would give this restaurant a 8/10. An eight because of the fact the salad bar and desserts are nothing special, but the steaks were what makes it amazing!
